Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service ("Terms") carefully before using the SahelX website, mobile application, and logistics services operated by SahelX ("us", "we", or "our").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, in compliance with applicable local and international commercial standards. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the service.

2. Service Description

SahelX provides logistics, courier, bulk delivery, and freight forwarding services. We act as an intermediary connecting customers with independent dispatch riders and transport vehicles.

3. SahelX Digital Wallet & Payments

• Digital Wallet: Users may fund a SahelX Digital Wallet to pay for services. Wallet balances hold no cash value outside the SahelX ecosystem, do not accrue interest, and are strictly non-transferable to other users.
• Payments: All card and bank transactions are processed securely via our authorized payment partner, Paystack. You agree to provide valid and authorized payment information.
• Refunds: Refunds for cancelled deliveries will be credited back to your SahelX Wallet. Direct bank refunds are subject to our sole discretion and may incur processing fees.

4. User Responsibilities & Bulk Deliveries

• You must provide accurate pickup and drop-off information. For Bulk Deliveries, you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all recipient contact details.
• You must ensure that the items being transported comply with local laws and regulations.
• You must ensure items are securely and appropriately packaged.

5. Prohibited Items

Users are strictly prohibited from using SahelX to transport:

• Illegal drugs, narcotics, or contraband.
• Firearms, explosives, or hazardous materials.
• Live animals without prior explicit written consent.
• Stolen goods or unverified high-value currency.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our liability for lost or damaged items is limited to the declared value of the item, up to a maximum of ₦500,000, provided that the item was properly packaged and the loss/damage occurred while in our direct custody. SahelX is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

7. Intellectual Property & Software Usage

The SahelX platform, including its original content, features, and functionality, are owned by SahelX and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be subject to exclusive jurisdiction in Nigerian courts, or binding arbitration as mutually agreed.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any significant changes within the App or via email.
